one of the greatest opportunities that came my way as a result of this blog is getting the chance to help gale zucker and joan tapper with their great book Craft Activism. i learned a great deal and had so much fun.  thank you both for including me. 

so in honor of it being my blogiversary week, i thought it might be fun to have a contest.

I guess it's not a coincidence that when I think of all the wonderful connections that have happened because of meeting people over the blogs, I too think of getting to work with you on the book! I think it should be pointed out here that what isn't shown on the cover is you, Maryse, standing just outside the frame holding up one end of the "clothesline" on a debilitatingly sticky hot July day. ps and obvs dont enter me in the contest!

Very cool. I meant to buy that book last year after I saw what knitting goodies I got for the holidays. Suffice to say that didn't happen.

I love Holly's goal of making and donating 10K items in her lifetime. That is such a worthy thing to do (and for someone like me who has moved to sweaters just because I cannot justify making more accessories for myself it might be necessary).
