i think it's important to put that out there. i do not knit a rhinebeck sweater. not this year, or any year. last year i wore a store bought sweater. this year i've been threatening to wear polar fleece. (that is if it's cool enough. it's been crazy warm here in the northeast.)
but i am knitting a sock. because it's socktoberfest bitches!
and yes, i've gone neutral. i don't tend to work in these colors but it's sometimes good to mix things up. and i do love my noro.
tomorrow after work i head out west to rhinebeck. so maybe i'll see you there. i'll be the one not wearing a handknit sweater.
je suis contente que mon blog vous plaise. merci!

Have a wonderful time -- in your Not-Handknits! (Here in Michigan we have our Fiber Festival in late August. No Fiber Fest sweaters allowed. . . although I usually see a few folks proudly sweating it out under their lovely handknit shawls!)

I always try to make a sweater and never finish. I thought I would have five sweaters this year if I finished the second sleeve on all of them, but no. I do have one done that only needs some optional buttons to be done so I will have a sweater this time- and it's short-sleeved so I'll be able to wear it more than 5 minutes in the heat.

Hey, pretty sock! I suspect I'm in the minority but Noro sock yarn is one of my favorites. Unfortunately my LYS no longer carries it. I must not have bought enough.

Nothing wrong with a store bought sweater. I had one that I really loved and I would never have knit it at such a fine gauge (ah machine knitting).

I have never knit a Rhinebeck sweater.
