today is the first day of my vacation. hurray for me! tomorrow j and i take off for France to visit the family. it's been 3 years since we were last there. hard to believe it's been that long.
anyway, as promised...finally... after months... the Modern Vintage Potholder pattern is up!
maritza was kind enough to test it for me and i think it should work out for you.
the pattern can be found over there in my side bar and you can also find it on ravelry. and it's free!
also, i shouldn't have to say it but i will, this pattern is for your personal use only. if you want to make a bunch and sell them to raise money for charity, please ask permission first. but don't go making them and selling them on etsy or anything like that. karma is a bitch and she will find you. thanks!
as you know, potholders are my favorite things to crochet, especially big ones!
yours are so pretty and dainty, I can't resist them. Thank you!

thank you! i don't currently crochet (i knit), but i have two very old and tattered red and green potholders that i inherited from my grandmother. they were crocheted by my great grandmother and they are the only potholders i will use because they work so well. anyway, they look just like your pattern. thanks for making this available. i will have to try to teach myself to crochet now. too cool.

Each "ball" of thread makes 3 or 4 potholders.

I am wondering about how much crochet thread you use per potholder. I'm thinking of doing a batch of them so I'd just like an idea of how much thread to buy.

I'm taking my 50mm 1.8, my kit lens (18-55mm 4.5/5.6) and my 55-200 4.5/5.6. And macro filters. All 3 are light and inexpensive to replace should they get wrecked.
The big heavy lenses are staying home.
