Citius, Altius, Fortius

"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph, but the struggle. The  essential  thing is not to have conquered, but to have fought well."

one more day, and i'm not going to finish.  and that's ok.  i was distracted (i made a pair of house socks, and worked on some needlepoint).  there were times when i doubted i could continue, but continue i did.  i fought through the disgust, the incessant frogging, the knots in the skanks when pulling the strands apart.

i have 4 more sections to do, and then see all of those little strands?  i-cord.  thousands and thousands of feet of i-cord.  i'll finish.  but not by tomorrow.

i made a button.  like bode, the expectations were high, but i fell short.  if you fell short, but had a good time anyway, feel free to help yourself.

I Bode'd too. Except, i think I might've taken the KO more seriously than he took the real olympics.

With Jackie on this one-that *is* a crapload of knitting. And pain in the butt knitting too, separating all those strands of wool. You should be very proud!! I don't think you Bode'd--I'd give it a silver.

maryse, honestly, that's a crapload of knitting.

I love your button :) Also, I'd love to see some of your needlepoint.....

Maryse, you crack me up.

G'damn that's a gorgeous scarf! That will be very cool to see done. I wish you strength, patience and perserverance for the miles of icord.

you realize that this means no sweet endorsement deals for you? at least you'll get a scarf out of it!

Nice button!

I can hardly believe you made so much progress on the scarf. I still think its coolio.

I finished the knitting of my unofficial sweater, but I am not going to sew it up until after the Olyimpics. Its the advantage of being unofficial.

I think you've done a damn impressive amount, whether it's finished or not.

Best. Button. EVER.

;-)

Is it just me, or does that pic of Bode look a leetle bit like Heath Ledger?

Anyhoo, I'm glad, at least, that you had fun!

Keep going!!! I'm cheering for you.

Love the button.

I'm glad you've kept your sense of humor! And you'll finish, too.

But at least you will finish. And you will have a unique and cool piece of art to show for it. :)
