i've been outted. or rather, i outted myself. a lot of the bloggers whose blogs i read, have fans amongst their "real life" family and friends. (not that bloggers aren't "real life") but i don't. i've kept my blog pretty much secret from everyone in my non-blog world. i'm not exactly sure why, just that maybe i need a little place to myself. know what i mean, jelly bean? even j, who knows i've got some sort of website going, hasn't actually read my blog. his only concern is that i don't tell people that he's an asshole. which i haven't. because he's not an asshole.
anyway, a knitting coworker of mine, who knows how to double knit by the way, and she'd better show me soon, emailed me the knitty link the other day, asking me if i'd ever heard of it. have i ever heard of knitty?! why yes i have! since i don't really write about work here either other than complain that i hate working, but i do that at work anyway, i felt safe to fess up. so i did. (of course that's after making her double secret promise not to discuss my blog at work .)
hi e! e wants to start her own blog, by the way. let's encourage her to do so!
in other work related news....guess who won the big ass NCAA basketball pool at work?
ME!!!!
not bad for a chick who knows nothing (nor does she really care to) about basketball.
finally, i've got some yarn to show.
out of the goodness of my heart, i made the ultimate sacrifice of unloading carolyn of this heinous lorna's laces lion and lamb. i'm there for your girlfriend!
i'll be making another clapotis with this ... one that doesn't strangle the life out of me.
and here's a close up of the great stuff i scored from mrs. yarnpants. four hundred and twenty three grams baby.....
mmm pretty, soft.

Hi Maryse. Thanks for dropping by my site! I like your blog very much - not that I know the first thing about knitting and yarn, but I'm a quilter, so I share the general crafty addiction! Well done on coming out at work :)

Hi Maryse. I'm here from Michele's meet'n'greet.
My parents just recently found my blog. While there's nothing on it so far that I wouldn't want them to read, I don't know whether it will have an effect on what I choose to write.

Is that some Manos? It looks pretty.
I was eyeing that yarn at Carolyn's site as well- good for you! At least you paid money for it, you big contest cheater. :) Only said with the true love and jealousy that comes from deep in my heart.

My non blogging friends and family do know about my blog. I do know they read it, but they won't comment.
That LL Lion and Lamb looks great. It will make a beautiful Clapotis.

Let's see, you won the football bet. Now basketball. Hmmmm. Maybe you need a regular bookie.

Yes, I agree it's good to have real life people come to your blog, since (unlike you) I'm not sure any of ya'll really exist. You could just be figments of my imagination. In which case you're all nekkid! Just kidding. ;)
Yay for you on winning the pool!!! I had Vermont going all the way. I thought it was funny... and then they won that ONE game and freaked people out. Heh. Then they lost. Ah well.
OK, go get your clap on. Au revoir!

Not many of my friends know of my blog and none of my family or co-workers. I almost strangled my husband when he mentioned it to my in-laws, but they don't seem to be interested enough to look. (phew)
I don't know what it is either, it's nice having this little secret life though!

Hee hee -- me, too, I keep mine sort of a secret -- only my knitting pals know about this. I think my mom would say, "You have time to do what??" And have fun with that lorna's laces!!
